The Sun
Mid-Afternoon
The fieriest of all your times.
Neither do you rise or set.
Just stay there in the mid-afternoon sky
Burning
Yelling
Hurting all in the vicinity.
The rays hit me harshly
Pressure
Pounds against my back.
“Ouch! No stop!”
It shrieks at all my faults,
Sweat pours down my face
Anxiety to fix myself.
The warmth is no longer avaiable
It is heat.
Intense, voracious heat
Ready to swallow me whole at any moment.
Fiery eyes
Violent emotions
Pour upon my body
Slap me across the face.
Your face rages with fury.
