My Lullaby

The rain taps against the glass,
As lovely lightning like a lion strikes; and
Thunder beats like African drums. In time,
I will slumber soundly to my lullaby.
Nature has created her bewitching melody.
As she pulls me down into a sound trance,
Wind will woefully wind down,
The rain will tap against the clear glass, and
Lovely lightning like a lion will beautifully strike.
