Victims
We all claim to be victims.
We claim to be victims of love,
victims of life,
or victims of everything in between.
Instead of caring about those who are true victims.
The victims of death,
the victims of loss, whether it be physical, emotional, or mental.
We stand in self pity.
We bathe in self-loathing.
And we hide until those feelings that make us seem so small disappear.
When will we see the true victims?
