Man of wisdom
Your heart is burning bright but frail as glass
You see what’s beyond
What others couldn’t stand to see
What others feared.
To them you were nothing but a tool
So why don’t you run away with me?
You showed me the beauty of the world only to kick me into it
You’re held down by your fabricated phantoms
The sin you carry on your back is nothing but acidic waste
They don’t have souls to save.
We’re two burning embers in a world of darkness
You don’t have to share the flame
I know it’s time for me to leave
Live as more than a tool
Since I have to leave you, I’ll do what I must
To share my flame as you did to me
Save the souls of those lost in the darkness
Just promise we meet again
To hear the sweat music of a changing world
In this life or after.
My dear friend.
