Trapped in the moment
I sit down ready to begin today’s class assignment
My mind is set and ready
I am not trapped
but soon I begin to daze off in wonder thinking what I could be doing out of class.
My mind escapes me and my brain turns off,
I blatenly stare at the paper in front of me
I am trapped.
My pupils start growing rapidly,
my mind escapes me,
I am lost--
My head feels dizzy,
my leg turns dead
?Why?
uneducated questions flood my into my skull.
My mind goes from focused on work, to off in Narnia in what seems to be seconds.
But right when my eye lids try to slid down my eye, my ears catch a sound,
my friend is calling
“Gasp”
back on Earth
back in class
back to a land that won’t let you leave.
