Dear William
You were brilliant- deceiving
Sly, self-professed.
I never stopped dreaming
Of loving you less.
You failed at the rescue,
Created distress.
If only you knew
How it felt when you left.
Feeling barely worthy
Hardly ever needed.
If I could have changed that,
I would have... Believe it.
You were a liar
You had to be right.
Vicarious thief,
You stole my life.
Even when I
Sent you packing your bags,
Your greedy desire
Left with all that I had.
Selfish, and strong,
You left me scars
Forever imprinted
On the frame of my heart.
Go on and talk.
We both know the truth.
Our relationship: cashed,
I owe it to you.
It all comes down to this.
To be honest and true.
This poem is a letter
To no one but you.
So I'll say, "Dear William
I've had a breakthrough.
Here is my punch line:
I will never miss you."

I liked this! It put good imagery in my head.
Even better because you're from Warrenton, as am I :3
