Eyes Wide Open
With my eyes wide open I can barely see
all the faces blur in front of me
what's wrong and what's right
make no difference at all to me
I don't care about society
why should I when I can barely see
and you will always be with me,
so What's wrong with me
Save me from my misery
my heart is not content
I can't seem to keep going
Yet I will not repent
walk with me inside my mind
Make sure you stay close buy
I would hate to lose you
deep inside
What I think of before I sleep
would drive most people insane
But here you are sleeping next to me
dreaming the same things
With my eyes wide open I can barely see
all the faces blur in front of me
what's wrong and what's right
make no difference at all to me
I don't care about society
why should I when I can barely see
and you will always be with me,
What's wrong with me
Running for eternity,
sounds like fun to me
everyone else would
shudder and and run away
Looking into my eyes
they see only black
When I look at you all I see
is myself looking back
People think I'm broken
but you see me for what I really am
I just think of darker places
than they would wish to be
With my eyes wide open I can barely see
all the faces blur in front of me
what's wrong and what's right
make no difference at all to me
I don't care about society
why should I when I can barely see
and you will always be with me,
What's wrong with me
I take comfort in the shadows
people turn away from me
You crawl inside these holes
and keep me company
There's pain inside my brain
pressure builds to great
as I fall onto the ground
you fall next to me
As I blink I finally see
A world worth living
You're no longer next to me
This must be agony
With my eyes wide open I can finally see
all the faces in front of me
But what's wrong and what's right
Still make no difference at all to me
I don't care about society
why should I when I'm dying
and you're no longer with me,
I'm finally free
