River, Because We Talked.
Settle down, child, I'll stay with you
Until the summer's turned to grey.
When the grass dies, when the birds fly, we'll finally go out to play.
This Chicago flight is in a few short years
You're stumbling, but if you open up your ears,
And hold on to what we have said.
I'll tell you again.
The wait is over
The wait is over, we're finally older.
Look away now, I feel I'm
Much too honest with myself.
What you're hearing is what I'm feeling
and it can't be good for my health.
It's been one hell of a year and a pretty rough night.
Just counting down the days until I meet you on that flight.
Because I'm tired and stretched so thin, this blood is burning through my skin.
So I will confess, I am so terrified of this.
The wait is over
The wait is over, we're finally older.
