Bleeding Colors
I have a colorful brain that thinks up all my words
It’s rambunctious and playful and I can’t get it to heel
But maybe that’s the stupid magic of me.
I have a colorful heart that speaks its mind
Its plays the rhythm to the soundtrack of my life
And it’s the closest thing I have to a partner.
I have a gray expression on my face
But the rainbow in me is ready to burst
And pretty soon I’ll be bleeding my colors.
Bleeding colors
They spill out of me
Because I can no longer hold them inside
Bleeding colors
They stain the floor
Of the world that used to be gray
And now I’m stuck red-faced and shaking
On the painted concrete
Completely exposed and
Drowning in myself.
Are you happy now that you see me
Completely defenseless and truly myself
My soul is naked
And my colors are where
You call can see them lying there
