You wanted me back and I refused
But the truth is we had nothing to lose
But I had nothing left to give
You always said I’d change my mind
That I’d open my eyes and I would find
That you’re the reason that I live

Well you were right
Now here I am
Begging you for another chance
But you won’t fight
For me again
And I cry as you dance

Seeing you there, it takes me back
To when we had everything
You were my world and I was yours
Nothing could ever separate us
We were in love and growing stronger
You were my world and I was yours

Everywhere I go, everything I do
It always reminds me of you
Your memory’s burned into my brain
Now I long for your arms and for your kiss
There’s not a thing about you that I don’t miss
But I can’t erase this pain

Now it’s too late
I’ve lost my chance
Ain’t it funny how I just can’t seem to win?
I’ve paid the price
For my mistake
‘Cause you won’t be mine again

Seeing you there, it takes me back
To when we had everything
You were my world and I was yours
Nothing could ever separate us
We were in love and growing stronger
You were my world and I was yours

I took a walk down Memory Lane
I bumped into You & Me
We were so alive, our hearts on fire
We were wild, yeah, we were free
It felt so right to be with you
Now my heart is sunk; this hurts so much!
I’m sorry, but I’m a fool for you again
Yeah, that was Us

Seeing you there, it takes me back
To when we had everything
You were my world and I was yours
Nothing could ever separate us
We were in love and growing stronger
You were my world and I was yours

You were my world and I was yours
Yeah, you’re still My World.

I wrote this for a boy I dated for 6 months last year. A few months ago I found myself wanting him back, but he wouldn't cooperate. I wrote this for him. We are (I a proud to say) dating again now.
