Maybe
I saw you lift her up,
And with her my spirits fell,
When all of my useless pennies,
Sank to the bottom of my wishing well.
You’re too perfect,
Go find your perfect match,
So you two can get hitched,
And my heart from you can detach.
Take your precious time,
Because mine is all hers,
Mine works a little different though,
I’m lost without words.
My thoughts everyday at practice,
Are my hopes of catching your view,
My eyes take in your image,
Until I can wait another practice to see you.
I’m not saying I love you,
Because love hasn’t experienced me,
But when I’m dancing in your atmosphere,
Your dancing sets me free.
Then maybe it is love,
For you I genuinely care,
But I won’t let me judge that,
Because I’m attempting God’s dare.
