My Disability, CP
“My Disability, CP” by Heather Manning helped me understand that a disability will only hold you back if you let it. Many people’s perception on cerebral palsy is very different than Heather’s view. In her eyes CP means “capable person, caring person, courageous person.”
Heather shows us that a disability is truly not what holds you back. No matter what disability or challenge you have you cannot let it control your life. “It is part of your life you just have to live with it.”
Heather spoke about cerebral palsy in a way many people do not understand. Her outlook on life is an important message to other people. You have you embrace the life you have and “live your life to the fullest.” Your ability to be happy in life depends on your attitude.
