Broken Pieces
She was born the same year I was, 2006
She had a good life until her heart broke
A small crack was all it took for her to fall apart
Empty holes left in her soul, longing for love
Missing pieces, broken and tattered, treated like it didn't matter
She found her way to me
Worked day and night to make her feel free
Someone had to love her
I knew it had to be me
So that once again she could be free
The memories we made together
The smell of burnt rubber and hints of gas
Bring me back to the past, like i'm standing in front of her once again
I loved her more than anything
Her bright eyes shined like stars in the dark,
If only I could take her for one last ride
I’d finally be ready to say goodbye
And put her in park.

Its about my first car that I rebuilt and the car got me through a lot of tough times and was pretty much my best friend and I spent all my time and energy trying to make it run again. I was my escape to just work on my car and not have to deal with my other problems in life at that moment.
