SAME OLD DAY
Every day feels the same.
I have the same old boring routine,
wake up, shower, school,
football practice, homework, then sleep.
The days start to blend like one long day,
that never ends.
I need a break from this routine,
get away from the matrix,
and do things on my own time,
that I don’t already have pre-planned out.
I could see a movie,
go on a walk,
go to the mall.
Just anything,
anything to get away from the routines.
People talk about routines helping their lives,
yet I don’t see the point,
how do people not get bored?
Doing the same things,
every single day.
It feels like I am Bill Murray,
living Groundhogs Day,
over, and over, and over again.
They say variety is the spice of life,
and if you view your life as a dish,
you need spices, to season it,
make sure it isn’t bland and boring.
And I’m going to make sure my life isn’t bland.
