Singing--My personal therapy
When life’s out of my hands
And I can’t control anything
The only thing I can do
Is pour my heart out and sing
I’ve tried some other ways
To escape all the stress
But with those dangerous methods
I haven’t had any success
All that they have caused
Are upset and pain
I feel empty and broken
With nothing to gain
But with singing it’s different
It doesn’t result in anything bad
I can scream out my feelings
Whatever makes me mad
I just sit on my bed
And let the words flow
And with the passion I use
The emotions really show
Sometimes as I sing
I start to cry hysterically
Because some songs
Really remind me of me
Singing really helps me
Deal with whatever is going on
Hopefully soon
All these sad feelings will be gone
