I wish someone could have informed me. . .
I wish someone could have informed me that Time is always moving.
That nothing will stop it, or slow it, or stall it,
Not even a shock of cold, icy water.
Time constantly runs behind me,
Taunting me with his laughter.
Doesn’t he ever take a break by the river?
Doesn’t he ever fall in love?
I wish someone could have informed me that Time doesn’t know emotion.
For that I pity him.
Maybe if Time fell in love with Death we would find Peace in this cold world.
Time would spend endlessly moments
And Death would halt all pain.
Everyone would be friends with Peace,
And war would just be a game.
I wish someone could have informed me that thinking about Time isn’t bright,
Because now I’m out of seconds.
And it’s about time to turn off the light.
