Forbidden Fruit
Love is like a forbidden fruit
In the beginning it looks like something you can’t live without
You go out your way to observe it and try to see what you can figure out
You wonder if it tastes as good as it looks
Initially it’s because the vibrant color maintains your attention
Along with that, the things you’ve heard about it makes you want to try it
This feeling captivates you and so you decide to take a bite
You’re happy with your decision because it feels right
As the first bite explodes, you’ve already decided to take another
You keep partaking in this feeling because it feels like no other
Sadly, you knew after taking that bite now you can’t retreat from it
You have to deal with the undying consequences
At the end you realize that it was not worth it
Because of a rushed decision, you’ll be forever affected
It was enjoyable for a couple of minutes
But can be followed by a lifetime of regrettable decisions
